AZ is making its vaccine on a non-profit basis. I'm very happy with that. If folks want to offer to help them manufacture more of their drug at that price, paying what is due to AZ, great. But AZ developed the drug and I am grateful for the system that produced it so fast.

If the US wants to take away Pfizer's and Moderna's IP, that's up to you. But I think they'll move their businesses out of the US in short order.

If the US wants to do virtuous things about IP, how about not extending copyright protection for the sake of Mickey Mouse. All the money everyone saves can go towards buying vaccines.

I disagree. This is a worldwide pandemic, unless we are able to vaccinate many more, different strains will circle back. Time is something we cannot afford. I hope they will be able to move quickly, have all the resources necessary to save millions of lives.
