MAYOR: San Fran Needs ‘Guaranteed Income’ So People Won’t ‘Worry About How They’ll Pay Bills’

San Francisco Mayor London Breed backed a new “guaranteed income” initiative in the Bay Area this week; claiming residents won’t have to “constantly worry about how they’ll pay their bills.”
“Providing guaranteed income helps to ease the financial stress that so many of our most vulnerable residents are facing. As we get on the road to recovery from COVID-19, these programs will allow people to live healthy, happy and fulfilling lives without having to constantly worry about how they’ll pay their bills, afford rent every month, or get food on the table for their families,” posted Breed on social media.
