He challenged Trump wrt his ban on Muslims, I respected him for that.

One additional point with respect to American comparisons with Trump.

Both have clownish personalities.

Trump's clownish behaviour hides his greed and sociopathy. Boris' hides his intellect and ambition.

One mask. Two very different characters.

It's not a coincidence that Boris achieved things that were far beyond Theresa May. People like his mad hair and his buffoonery. And they recognise he's a bit disorganised and sexually overactive. But they also see he keeps winning in dazzling ways about important things. I don't think it's chance. He's a very clever guy.
