That was brave, although I guess he wasn't under any sort of threat from Trump as they were in non-colliding domains of authority.

But he hasn't been a strong mayor of London, from what I've read, which admittedly isn't much!

It's been a closer race than people expected as London is often a city of the left [ie socialist in UK terms, not Liberal in US ones], in spite of the city of London being within it.

I'm also interested in the mayors race.
He challenged Trump wrt his ban on Muslims, I respected him for that.
