Some of the witnesses believe he wouldn't back down because they were telling him to.

Ego.

That said, he did this a few years ago to a teenage, the kid passed out & had head injuries. At least he lived.


Do something positive.

I still don't begin to understand what was going through his head.

Was he really entirely indifferent to whether George Floyd died? Or worse, did he intend to kill him, right there in public view? The trial says yes on both counts. And it sure looks that way. But what sort of dead brain does he have if that's the case.

Usually, you can kind of figure things out as panic or anger or something. But this was just totally weird. A sort of nothing where basic human sympathy is.

Maybe being a policeman does that to a person. People who work in A&E apparently get that way too. The only way to do the job is without emotion.
