Hi De,
I disagree with the premise of why the manufacturing sectors and food industry and other and others businesses which control the economy is not discussing that all these industries are fighting against the government for employees. There is not a lack of orders. I just talked with three manufacturing companies today myself. ALL have the same exact problem. They cannot get employees back to work and they have a materials shortage, a lack of basic materials such as steel. Aerosol propellants are also non-existent so if one used any products that are aerosol driven you are SOL for quite awhile.. In industry many cleaners and lubricants are in aerosol cans..

People are having a blast with the money the government keeps sending them for staying at home and not returning to work... I know several just doing that identical thing...

The problem with the economy is simple. It's the Sleepy Joe conundrum... Things are going just the way the cronies behind the scenes want them to go..

This way you can have more control over people who get comfortable being taken care of the government cradle to grave..

So I am not in agreement with the writer about the rationale and failing to put he honus squarely where it belongs..
hope this helps.

Re: “I disagree throughly with this authors conclusions. The author is only focused on manufactured goods and people spending money. They are spending plenty of money.”
I just read the article a second time and still don't understand what it is that you disagree with. He doesn't say that consumers aren't spending. He says that consumers are observant enough to notice the price increases that are now occurring and will reduce their spending… that the future free money Democrats will certainly throw their way will be less and less effective.

I agree with all of that and don't see how it conflicts with your p.o.v. Please clarify.
