There's always been something peculiar about the Chinese response to covid. But to be fair to them, they almost always respond to problems by being secretive. I have no opinion on whether covid got loose from their lab. But it sounds possible.

The China vaccine doesn't seem to work at all well. The countries that have used it don't defeat the virus.

Meanwhile, the US hasn't approved a single foreign vaccine for domestic use. Methinks there's some America First left in the US approval process.

It's no skin off my nose. But the US government [and so US taxpayers] is getting reamed by US pharmaceutical companies. They sort of deserve the reward. But the price per dose is VERY high.

China is facing a lot of pressure about where & when the virus was discovered.

Three of their researchers went to the hospital in November 2019.

They have just approved a third booster, because their vaccine doesn't work as well as ours.

Fortunately, few children have died from Covid.

As of May 20, over 3.94 million children have tested positive for COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic. About 40,000 new child cases were reported last week. This marks the lowest number of new weekly cases since early-October.
