But it's the first dose that really matters. 49% of ALL Americans have had their first dose. [39% have had both doses]. So something more like 2/3rds of American adults are vaccinated and now face a negligible risk from infection.
My only concern is whether the most vulnerable Americans have been vaccinated. Or if it's a hodgepodge. That may explain why there are still quite a large number of deaths.
