Re: “I'd be a little nervous if I came across vegetables that walk.”You might know them as 'Egyptian Onions.' Or you might not. They're cool in that they set their bulbs at the top of their stalks instead of the root. When the bulbs get big, the stalks flop over and sprout new roots wherever they hit the ground. They can 'walk' a couple of feet per year this way.

Nemo was very observant to spot them. I never have, but now I'm tempted to plant some. Seems like they'd be easier to grow than regular onions. Once you get 'em going, they plant themselves!
