It came as a surprise, but If I was corporate management I may have released me, too. I trained everyone to do their jobs well and my underlings became managers of each department.
After this last aquisition, corporate brought in upper managers that really have no idea what they’re doing. I was getting tired of bs meetings, charts and KPI’s. Any time you sacrifice what’s best for the customer to hit somebody’s “targets”, its the wrong direction.
So they cut overhead and plan on outsourcing most of their fabrication. Its very possible I put together my own fab shop and become a supplier for them.
