Thanks De!! As I am about Joey! Tyler is not nearly the academic that Joey is. He told me that right now he thinks he would like to be a High School History teacher. I told him he could come over to my house and borrow a few rows of American History books and start reading!
I have been privileged to teach Civil War history at the High School for advanced placement students whowanted additional history on the Civil War during Summer. It was fun.. The interaction with inquisitive young minds was amazing to me and I was blessed with students who actually signed up to be in that study group classroom.. So I had an open canvas on which to paint a portrait.
Tyler is a National Honor Society student as I am positive Joey was as well. He did not finish in the top 35 of his class... Those kids all graduated Summa Cum Laude. GPA's all over 4.5 His best friend was the valedictorian. A very bright young man with his head on straight and he played sports also... 4.85 GPA Unbelieveable....
Joey has already proven his mettle with his undergrad work.. He is what gives me some hope for the future of America..
It remains to be seen how my grandson will do with his studies at this Catholic University he is attending..
We canonly encourage him and pray for him.. And of course watch him play football at home games. I doubt he will get any playing time on the defense his freshman year. Likely the following year is what his head coach is saying. He did grow another two inches in the past three months.. He is now almost six foot.. That is where linebackers need to be at a minimum. Glad he is close by too. Grandma will spoil him...
