It was disappointing to me that the students didn't get called up on stage to have their tassles flipped or shake hands with the Liberal-In-Chief or any of that stuff you normally think is going to happen at a graduation ceremony.

Here’s how they typically work in American academia: Summa cum laude is the prize granted at the pinnacle (think “summit”), awarded to a small fraction of college graduates each year.

If that is so, I still don't understand why those kids couldn't be graded with remote learning.
