He did remote learning at the condo we bought for him in Charlottesville VA. I don't think we'll be doing that for him in San Diego... prices there are much too high.

The prices here are obscene. Supposedly it is because the CA folks have made some dough on their houses there, and are very happy to pay inflated prices here.

One of my jobs this summer is going to be clearing out the condo, touching it up as needed, and putting it up for sale. We bought it thinking that even if it lost value, it would still be a worthwhile purchase. We avoided paying exorbitant dorm prices, and we kept tuition down by having a Virginia address. We even made a little money by renting one of its rooms. As it turns out, the condo jumped in price by about 20% in a little over three years. It was a really good move.
