A "blue-haired suspect," eh? Hmmm ... let's take a closer look, shall we?
A man with bright blue dreadlocks punched an Asian man in Flatiron and called him a “ch---,” police said.
The 48-year-old victim was on his way to get a haircut near Broadway and W. 26th St. on May 22 when he was attacked around 4:20 p.m.
The suspect, seen in surveillance video wearing neon yellow pants, then spewed the hateful slur before running off. The victim declined medical care at the scene.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the assault. The suspect was also wearing a white tank top and carrying a backpack.
Police released surveillance video of the suspect Friday. Anyone with information can call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at (800) 577-TIPS.
In an unrelated incident Thursday around 9 a.m., a man spit on a 49-year-old Asian woman and called her a “ch---” as she walked down Seventh Ave. near W. 31st St.
The suspect then ran into Penn Station and remains at large.
Hmmm ... was this second suspect "blue-haired" as well?
