Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has defended his membership in an all-white club, calling it a “long tradition” in his state. Naturally it’s been the lead story on so many newscasts. Wait, no it hasn’t:

Erick Erickson and Guy Benson know what would have the media and congressional Dems in a frenzy:
Erick Erickson ~ If Sheldon Whitehouse had an R next to his name, the lead story of every news outlet would be his membership in an all white club.
Guy Benson ~ (Replying to @EWErickson) Other Senators chased down and asked to denounce, high decibel outraged coverage, protesters picketing the club, etc. etc.
You know that’s what would be happening, but the “D” after Whitehouse’s name provides him with some extra protection.
