...If anything happened to mz ribit I think I would like to find a ho what was humping 30 guys at the same time, get married and settle down. She would have to agree not to add any more guys to her "possee" during the marriage.

...Alone has been a bit of a disappointment thus far. The guy who had a heart attack prior to the season tapped out right away. Another heart attack he said. Me and snapits mighta qualified maybe.

Pretty much what I was thinking when I was watching The Bachelorette (Season 17, Episode 1) this week. Believe it or not, my interest was scientific. (I have a feeling you won't believe that.)

Of the 30 contestants trying to woo the Bachelorette:

53% are white (16), 37% are black (11), 3% are Latin (1), 7% are Asian (2). A few seasons ago, there would typically be 5 or fewer blacks pursuing a white Bachelorette.

Contestants hail from CA (37%), TX (10%), FL (10%), TN (6.7%), NJ (6.7%), IL (3.3%), MD (3.3%), GA (3.3%), OH (3.3%), NC (3.3%), NV (3.3%), NY (3.3%), MA (3.3%), OR (3.3%) and Canada (3.3%).

Now that Chris Harrison has been fired as the show's MC, the role is being filled by two former contestants, one black and one possibly latina.

That tells us something about who ABC is marketing the new Harrison-less show to.

BTW, I'm also watching Alone... so I hope that restores a little bit of my heterosexuality in your eyes.
