I do wonder why the author seems shocked that SARS-CoV-2 would mutate. All successful viruses mutate, and quickly. There are probably hundreds of thousands of strains of SARS-CoV-2 by now. Many of them will be variants that mutated off of other variants. There's nothing surprising in that. Viruses reproduce in as little as 8 hours, after all.

If SARS-Cov-2 has been with us since December 2019, some 1,800 generations of viruses have had ample time to mutate and spread. "Delta Plus" is one variant on which attention is being focused right now because it reportedly contains an "immune evasion property" that may make it resistant to antibodies. I think you'll agree that if it does, its spread is a problem.

Delta Plus is not an argument for more people to get vaccinated, by the way. If such a variant exists and spreads, it is logically an observation that the vaccine approach is hopeless.

I saw no evidence in your article that Delta Plus is a result of vaccinations. The author's claim that that is the case is not evidence. He, in fact, references sources such as this one https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-57577138 that say Delta Plus is related to Delta and that Delta is a mutation of the original virus.

But I have to admit that I didn't read all of his source articles. Since I didn't find anything interesting, I'd appreciate it if you'd just cut to the chase and tell us what it is he said that intrigued YOU. Maybe I missed something.
