Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
The Apostle points out that BECAUSE GOD will do these things as Promised, WHAT manner of person should you be? HE is speaking of the NEED TO NOT WAIT, but RUN to the SAVIOR now and be saved, having yourself cleansed witht he blood of the LAmb and being made to appear as white as SNOW to GOD the Father because you are now wearing a robe of righteousness given you by Jesus HIMSELF with HIS OWN righteousness applied to YOU, which is acceptable to God the Father !!
There is an old Hymn which expresses this very thing:
JESUS PAID IT ALL, ALL to HIM I OWE. SIN had left a crimson stain (on me), HE WASHED IT white as snow (when he forgave me of my sins and placed HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS upon me)
