When did America peak? Probably the mid-1950s. That was just before I entered this world, so if I have to pick a time while I was alive, then I'd say the 1980s.

When, within your life, do you think America peaked? Try not to answer based on YOUR experience, but on the nation as a whole.

My answer is '1979 to 1989'. My reasoning is that although the standard of living was probably better in the late '60s, there was also an awful war underway. The 1950s was before my time. 1976 to 1980 was ruined by Jimmy Carter. And from 1990 until today, the country seemingly lost its mind and soul.

Your thoughts?
