Revealed: neo-Confederate group includes military officers and politicians
Leaked membership data from the neo-Confederate Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) organization has revealed that the organization’s members include serving military officers, elected officials, public employees, and a national security expert whose CV boasts of “Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance”.

...Let me tell ya about the SCV (Sons of Confederate Veterans) being as I wuz a member once upon a time a long time ago. They are a bunch of old guys who sit around and pontificate about the civil war. They visit museums, they visit battlefields. They have confederate uniforms they wear when they "re enact" battles from the civil war. There is a corresponding organization for yankees called the SUV (Son of Union Veterans) who wear their Union Uniforms when they re-enact battles across the same field from their SCV counterparts. It's like watching a parade of old farts in silly clothes playing soldier and living a dream of days gone by and the glory of battle. (BTW: They ain't no glory in battle). What Im getting at here is that the SCV and the SUV are not racist organizations and there is not a whit of danger to the republic in either of them. This is another case of Cancel Culture at it's worst.
