Its the Lts and Cpts who are with ya in the middle of air filled with whizzing bullets flyng like bees around ya that are the leaders. MOST Generals today are just as you said, interested in only their careers. The grunts doing the fighting get nothing but a body bag or if lucky can actually walk away on their own two legs after the fightin is done and feel grateful to be alive.
