But I don't like this trick the NY attorneys keep playing of attacking one person to undermine another one.
It comes from the mafia playbook. I understand why they do it for them. But as a general policy, it makes people seem unequal under the law. And it makes the people responsible for managing the justice system operators of their own extortion model. It's a sort of Giuliani way of thinking: the ends justifies the means.
If Trump has done wicked things within the Trump organisation, I hope they charge him. But I don't like the methods they are using. If they can't find anything against Trump himself through the Trump organisation, then maybe he didn't do much that was so terrible in that way.
He should be put away for all sorts of reasons. Go after those.
It reminds me a bit of the vindictiveness towards Ghislaine Maxwell. They screwed up with Epstein. Now they are trying to show how tough they are with another person. Maxwell may be something of a bad actor. But Epstein was the actual baddie.
