I take your point about working for Trump. It's a good one.
I thought the same thought and decided that there may be a core in the Trump organisation that isn't incoherent and dishonest (ie unlike Trump himself). That the company survives suggests there is some good sense in there somewhere, perhaps an inheritance from Trump's father. It may be that Weisselberg is the goose that lays Trump's golden eggs. That Trump is a sort of figurehead for a company run by Weisselberg. And thus that the Trump Organisation isn't itself a criminal enterprise.
I think an arrogant person would crumble under such pressure from NY's AG.
A sociopath wouldn't. And nor would an honest man.
ps there's a second expense that does sound like an illegal fringe benefit to me. A car that was used by his wife. But all the stuff about the condo which is where the big money is rings hollow. He'll claim it was set aside for his use because of his workload and long hours. So it's like a fancy hotel room, but cheaper. The court will witness arguments about the classification of different expenses. Boring as hell.
