We are surging, had over 63,000 new cases yesterday.

Its sooo bad even republican governors are finally telling their people to get vaccinated.

Well, the delta wave is heading down finally.

The rate at which people have been diagnosed as having covid was similar to the last big wave.

But deaths so far have hit an average high of less than 1/20th the previous peak. So the vaccines have massively changed the level of risk in mortality terms.

I hope we have hit herd immunity finally and can just get on with living more normally, albeit with occasional booster jabs.
