I found this on Quora.com. It's an excellent response, I think. - De
Of all the U.S. political parties, is one more racist? If so, is it the Republicans or the Democrats?

Both of them are pretty racist, but the democrats more so than the republicans.
Yes, I know a lot of democrats are going to dislike this answer, but really, US corporate democrats are deeply racist, and very open about it.
You start out in 1954 by saying, "Nigger, nigger, nigger." By 1968 you can't say "nigger"—that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me—because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this," is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "Nigger, nigger."”
This is a quote from Lee Atwater, adviser to Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush and former chairman of the Republican National Committee.
The Republican party wanted to get the votes of southern racists, but they didn’t want to talk about race, so they made it about economics instead.
They did things like the war on drugs.
They basically said: Look, the whole thing about skin color isn’t working out well, but we can keep doing basically the same thing, and just make up a bunch of other reasons instead.
They swiveled towards talking about economics, because it’s way more politically correct.
Saying something like “letting the price be set by supply and demand without interfering in the market and people’s freedom of choice” just sounds so nice, doesn’t it? If instead you said “put poor people behind bars through policies of mass incarceration to then feed a for-profit prison labor system”, it sounds too blunt, you are not allowed to say it like that. Let alone say things about race. Nationalities, ok, but race, no, you can think it maybe, but the party usually avoids being too open about it.
Meanwhile, Democrats are extremely racist. They absolutely % (I'm sure he means 100% - De) believe in the idea of dividing people up into races. They bring this kind of thing up often.
They believe in creating certain labels for race, and sorting people, and advantaging certain people, or certain races, to ensure that there is a certain distribution.
Everything is always made about race and identity politics by corporate democrats, because they are fundamentally neoliberals working for their big donors. They cannot propose fundamental changes to housing, education, healthcare, and so on, because they work for the corporations. So, they propose setting up race based policies and quotas everywhere instead, and focus on making the discussion all about that.
Vote for us, we will have a black woman as VP!
The whole US is still extremely racist, but of the two, I would say Democrats are way more overtly racist.
Racism is the belief that humans may be divided into separate and excusive biological entities called “races”.
Since the late 20th century the notion of biological race has been recognized as a cultural invention, entirely without scientific basis.
