Because there were suds in the water on the garage floor, I'm sure that this is leak in the drain or the drain process. It's either where the washer hooks onto the drain (but I doubt it) or in the drain pipe.

I've already poked holes in the garage ceiling in order to dry it out. I'll let the plumber remove whatever pieces he needs to remove in order to figure out where the leak is.

Have you pulled the washer out yet and make sure the drain pipe coming out of the washer is still in the drain pipe, and no leaks on the water lines going to the washer. It is sounding like the 1/1/2 drain plumbing the drain hose to the washer might have an obstruction. I had a damn mouse crawl up that pip[e and found it in the washer after I did a load. Or something internal of the washer, a hose or something has come loose. Just some ideas.

I have seen the water drain pump on the bottom of a washer crack before. Those things shake like crazy when on spin cycle.Pull the washer out as far as you can and run a cycle Ifs its the washer you will know real fast...
