No, I haven't considered it. Good to know that it's an option, though. As you've seen, I don't have many expansion slots.

I'd expect a USB network adapter to be slow. USB hard drive access sure is.

Will do. I don't have any immediate plans for the linux box, though. To download software, I'll need a card but right now I don't know what I might want. The install included LibreOffice, and that's probably a good start toward meeting my needs.

You ever consider a USB wi-fi adapter?
That's what I've been using for a few
years now.

(If you are looking to buy one for a
Linux box make sure the package says
'Linux compatible' on it.)
