...ya might want to do the ramp like they say. There may be local ordinances requiring same. There are also requirements for ramps prior to resale of home in some places. A ramp built to these standards will make it easier on mz decomp to push ya recliner in and out of the house (with you in it of course) in case ya feels the need for a little sunshine whilst ya is waiting for something to come on the tv.

It wasn't intentional, but I definitely exaggerated the height. I don't have a current barn pic handy, but here's an old one that still shows the issue. Then, as now, a couple of boards were being used to facilitate getting onto the second floor. Two feet is probably more accurate than three.

You can see the slope. It's probably too steep for a person in a wheelchair to navigate by himself.
