Yes. Green beans love water plus sunlight. I grew three 75 foot rows of Kentucky Wonders a few years back and they were well watered and I swear I picked all those plants clear into fall. They kept producing beans.. We could not give them away as fast as they were coming.. So we froze a lot of them in the deep freezeer. That was my first and last experience with a home garden...

We can kill ANY tomato plant..Don't know why but they do not grow for us.. So we go to farmers market and buy theirs.

I have the black thumb of death when it comes to planting any foods...

We just had the wettest July in southern New Hampshire history. My tomato plants are not taking it well. It's not the water, but the lack of sun… Tomatoes like sunlight. Same for the pepper plants.

The green beans are doing well, though. I guess that means I should water the beans heavily in future years.
