this was his first mistake. NO CHECKS CASH ONLY. Cant believe it accepted checks as payment, and yes the scam he describe I have seen over and over, and had buyers propose the same payment to me. I just tell them n o, CASH only.........
I have had some go as far as show up, like the boat then hand me a check. I tell them no, you can leave and go to a bnak and get the cash. 2 never came back. Good for me......
I have seen and heard ALL of these scams. I should make a scam alert post. It would be lengthy LOL
ONLY scam I am guilty of being had on is the POS who do nothing but waste my time. Saying I will be there at noon, then never show or even call. I spend A lot of time waiting on people. I am getting better at weeding their dumb asses out, just from a few emails back and forth, then I just report them as spam and never hear from them again, Same with texts. My new smart phone is really good at spotting spam and give me an alert before I even reply...
