...not wearing a mask cause it don't stop everything is like not carrying an unbrella because it don't prevent rain.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Re: “Meaning they are so small what most folks are wearing as masks are about as useful as tissue paper supporting Stacie.”
You'd be right if the airborne viruses traveled from person to person like dandelion seeds in the wind, but that's not what they do. They travel in fine respiratory droplets that are worlds larger than the viruses themselves.

The fact is, if you breathed in an individual coronavirus, it would never make you sick. The virus would set about making copies of itself, doubling its population every few hours. In three hours, there might be two viruses. In six hours, four. In a day, there'd be 256 viruses in you. In two days, there'd be about 64,000 viruses in you. But by now, your body's immune system would be activated and would make short work of the puny infection.

Now compare that to a case where you inhale a small respiratory droplet containing, say, 10 million viruses. In two days, your immune system would finally kick in but it could face 640 billion viruses. You could lose the fight.

That's why cloth masks help. Droplets are usually too big to pass through them.
