Re: “I was feeling a little sluggish ”Yesterday's 47 beats per minute was a personal best for me. The record didn't stand long. I'm at 46 bpm right now.

In the 1970s, I remember reading that Bjorn Borg, the tennis champ, had a heart rate in the 40s due to his superb conditioning. I'm wondering if that's what's going on with me. Maybe I'm just THAT fit! I'll have to ask my doctor if maybe I should drink more beer and down a few more donuts...

Now 45 bpm.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Sheez... I was feeling a little sluggish so I took my pulse with a cool little EKG gadget I've got. 48 bpm. That's the lowest ever. (51 was my previous record.) 45 minutes later I checked again. 47 bpm.

I've got a feeling my meds need a little adjusting. Metoprolol would be the culprit. Before taking it, my heart rate had never gone below 62 or so.

This is also the only time my EKG has ever reported anything other than "regular heart beat." Now it's saying "Slow heart rate," which probably isn't much of a concern except for the question of "Why?"
