I think I personally would be a bit worried about that
low pulse rate.

I think I agree that perhaps you should be looking into
more along the lines of reducing the medications . . .
But I have no idea what all you or taking, or why . . .
and I am most definitely NOT a doctor.

But I haven't forgotten the quack that tried to put me
on a cholesterol lowering medication . . . My triglycerides
were way high - but the cholesterols were fine. I never
filled the perscription . . . cut back on the sugary
sodas and the triglycerieds dropped like a rock. But
the cholesterols went a little wacko.

I eventually fired the quack. Too many expensive tests
and no apparent reason for them. I had no more confidence
in said doctor.

Re: “If your heart beat is slow . . . And you get up and walk around the house for a minute or so . . . Does it go back up?”
It does. I got up this morning, went to the john, came back to bed and took my pulse: 53 bpm. I took it again 5 minutes later: 44 bpm.

The slow heartrate isn't without its side effects. I've been experiencing slight swelling in my hands and feet when I lie down. It sometimes wakes me up. At my request, my doctor had me take a CRP bloodtest to see if I had infection-related inflammation but it came back negative. He then saw that my triglycerides are elevated and put me on Omega-3 Fatty Acids - and that actually seemed to help a little with the swelling. I think it's far more likely that my pulse is going ridiculously low. After all, if I'm clocking 44 bpm when I'm awake, what must it be like when I'm actually asleep?

I'm at that happy time of my life where they're putting me on more-and-more stuff when, perhaps, they should instead be thinking about putting me on less-and-less. I'm pretty sure metropolol is behind the swelling, sluggishness and bradycardia (slow heartrate).

Anyway, good question.
