The problem with metoo is not that women should be left without protection. It is that the pendulum has swung too far. You don't get justice at the extremes. And it's justice we all want.

Evolution means that men do much of the hunting for mates. It's a rotten, inegalitarian system, filled with all sorts of potential for irritation, frustration and humiliation, but it's the one we have. You can't make it an angelic thing. It is part of our lizard heritage. The aim is to stop the bad lizardry, not to expect perfection.

I don't doubt he was clumsy. It's just that for me, you don't want to administer this level of interaction by recourse to lawyers, while dangling big money over the heads of plaintiffs. There are (or ought to be) better ways.

I comment because I see the ugly metoo movement, the prurient attorneys and the bad motives as part of the problem, not the solution. eg it is obvious Giuffre is after the money.

For the most part I agree.

I thought the woman at the wedding complaining because he kissed her, was ridiculous.

The woman that told him she had been sexually abused, then complained he discussed dating older men, was another BS issue.

The one that said she was at the mansion working & he grabbed her breast, I didn't believe.

The only one I found with merit was the state trooper. He changed the rules to get her on his detail. And was a jerk when he had opportunities to be with her.

If he wasn't such a bully, and had made friends he could've ridden this out, like Bill Clinton. But, he doesn't have friends so he's paying the price.

Men have gotten away with murder for eons, Cuomo is a token being held accountable. I have little sympathy.

I hope Kathy Hochul will be a success & open doors for others to join to help NY weather delta.
