(What does this mean? It means that in some places, SARS-CoV-2 is being recognized as a virus that is not going to go away. It will just be part of life - finally becoming like the flu. It also means that the significance of the virus is beginning to wane. The data shows that the Delta variant, for instance, is less virulent than the original virus. But Delta has an extremely high R0, between 5 and 10. This means that a whole lot of people are going to catch Delta, not get terribly sick, and quickly leave swaths with natural immunity resulting in the variant departing. Natural immunity is superior to vaccine-generated immunity.
The pandemic is about over in Norway and Sweden, too. European and American liberals laughed at Sweden early last year for its school and business policies: They remained open. It turns out that Sweden took absolutely the right course. "Staying open" was the way to go.

COVID-19 CLASSIFIED AS “ENDEMIC”
by Jon Mohwinkle

The Iowa Department of Public Health has classified COVID-19 as endemic. Marion County Public Health Director Kim Dorn says this means it’s likely to not simply disappear.
“It is endemic in the population. What that means is it’s just expected to be there, kind of like the flu during flu season. I think people are hoping this will go away, but it’s not going to go away. Endemic means to assume it to be in the population, and that we’re going to have to learn to live with this.”
Marion County Public Health is no longer keeping track of case counts, and does not handle them on a case-by-case basis. Instead, they are working to provide general guidance for positive cases. Hear more on an upcoming Let’s Talk Knoxville.
