I wonder if we should find a suitable, defensible position somewhere in the hinterlands of Afghanistan, set up a base with a few thousand troops, wait for them to be surrounded, and then have A-10s and AC-130 Spectres fly around the perimeter and have other planes drop Daisy Cutters and MOABs on anyone outside the perimeter.

I am a bit older than you guys, but I can remember that back in WWII there were some pretty severe penalties for enemy combatants wearing American military uniforms.
