Dunkirk was a desperate rush to salvage at least part of
an Army.
Saigan was pulling out with no intention of going back.
Afghanistan? biden pre-maturely abandoned Bagram
Air Base . . . pulled out too many troops too soon . . .
I don't think we have enough of an 'army' in Afghanistan
to 'heroically rescue'.
And the civilians? I don't think any civilians were
evacuated at Dunkirk . . . But both Saigan and
Afghanistan had large numbers of civilians in need
of rescue.
