I suspect, Boss,
That a lot depends on which State one lives in, and how
anal the fire-arms seller is.

(Different States having different laws and all that.)

I purchased several firearms from a sporting goods store that sold firearms also. Before I could obtain the weapon I had to fill out some form, wait for the store to contact the FBI for a quick background check, and afterward was allowed to purchase and take the weapon with me..

SO I am not sure what else could be done. My son in law had to fill out paperwork and registration on me for building and selling me the AR 15 before I could take it home.

SO , is there ANY continuity ?
