well, its another year of over rating Notre Dame as a top ten football team.
One has to wonder what the political payout must be to keep doing this year after year.
I mean, how many times does one school need to fall on its ass beofre SOMEBODY who is supposed to know college football actually comes out and does not rank the Irish in the top 20 ??
They barely escaped the game last night against a team according to their lofty ranking, should have had no difficulty with .
I was rooting for the other team because I really disain the over rating of Notre Dame year after year. There are always excuses.. Why not just say the other team was better?
When I was a lad, I played high school football. My team played in two Ohio Big School state championship games.
We won one. We lost one. The one we lost we should have lost. Never saw or hit opposing players who you simply bounced off of.. They were bigger and stronger and BETTER than us. They should have won. And did.
But it took a last second field goal from the vaunted Irish before the clock ran out in order for them to miraculously come from behind. tie the game, and then be in position to win with seconds remaining.
This game should not have been even close. ALL the so called top 300 recruits that went to Notre Dame versus the ones who went to Florida State ?
Someone please, who has played football on a reasonably high level, explain to me why a team that struggles against mediocrity year after year is so highly rated and causes other much better teams to miss out????
This was the last game I am going to watch with Notre Dame. They play minor league oppopnents in order to have a good looking won-loss record. When they play a real football team like Clemson with Clemson's QB in the game, they get the crap beat out of them.. Then everyone in the sports world wonders what happened.
SO, The Irish proved yet again they are a SO SO ball team playing nobody this year but because they are inept they will have close games against teams that Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson, Penn State, any of the top 20 teams will have no difficulty winning against.
Florida State put up a good fight but they should have lost by a lot.. Especially agaist such a highly touted football team.. Over rated yet again aother year.
Next year will be the same just as it was last year and the year before, etc....
Hopefully some of the cream puffs will beat this Notre Dame farce. Maybe Notre Dame should try to schedule games against opponents like the Buckeyes, or Tide, or A&M, Georgia, CLemson, etc. But then, they actually get some losses and that would be bad for the image...
This just reminds me of yet another scripted false flag about a football team that is over rated year after year.
What I will give Notre Dame credit for is going to the home field of Florida State and playing.. But as lofty as their ranking is, they should easily have won this game with plenty to spare.....
