Looks like Ohio State is finally starting to get all those new players on defense and the Quarterback beginning to understand their assignments and play with some aggressiveness. This is a highly rated group of recruited players that needs to start playing like a TEAM and cohesiveness. They have the athletes.
Georgia and Alabama are still THE ELITE TWO, but lets see if the Buckeyes can bounce back from that early loss to Oregon and become the beast it was supposed to be..
How about Dem BEARCATS ???? Party time in the Queen City !! Great win by a great QB against last years defensive coordinator who the Irish cherry picked away from us. Looks like it didn't help them..
BTW, their head coach was the Bearcats head coach also. They can keep him. We got a better one now...
SO, WHO is the best college futzball team in Ohio right now? IMO, it is a coin toss. Neither team is going to beat Georgia or Alabama but both could beat anyone else ranked ahead of them.
I looked at PennState and Iowa's schedule to see who their wins came against so far. Iowa's biggest claim to fame was beating over rated Iowa State who already has two losses. They haven't played ANYBODY. PennState squeeked out a win against Auburn. Other than that, they have played the little sisters of the poor so far.
Next weekend Iowa and Penn State play each other. That should be interesting..
I am convinced that THIS YEAR from top to bottom, overall, the SEC has the best football strength, especially because of the top two and the next 2 - 3 teams after that.. They are strong but not elite.
BAma And Georia are the only elite teams in all of college football.
The Buckeyes have potential to get there IF they continue to meld as a team and play to their abilities as a team.
Its a long season yet so we will enjoy the games and see what happens..
Right now I would take Georgia over Alabama. They just look and seem more physical and dominant. I would not want to play either of them...
