...fishin is / was my favorite thingy. I remember going with my dad back in the 50's. My dad was also a quail hunter but I never took to that. I killed a brown thrasher with my first bb gun and never quite got over it. If it's a threat or sumpin to eat no problem, but just to kill? Nah, I don't think so.

...my old fishin box had to be replaced. 20 years of sitting in the basement caused the drawers to start sagging in the middle. They don't even make the box I had anymore so I bought a used one from ebay. It cost a hundred bucks and has about $300 in stuff in it. Mostly soft plastic. Worms, lizards, crawfish, helmegranite whatever. That and spinnerbaits. I have about a hundred lures but I rarely use em. They get hung up on crap all the time.

...liver is hard to keep on a hook but if ya wrap the liver in a piece of cloth and put it on the hook ya will do just fine.

Love the large mouth bass photo...

I caugt one at my little brother's farm pond of one and a half acres. He has the department of fisheries stock it in Indiana. He also has small mouth bass, some pansfish like Bluegill and channel cats and I understand there is a very large Blue Cat in there as well.

Ya can pull in fish all day long from the shores on either purple worms or for the catfish, use some old real liver on a hook. They love the smell and can't resist.
