...don't half step. Get the hip replaced. All this injection and other stuff just brings temporary relief and delays your hip and your life getting back to normal. Recovery? I can't remember whether ir was three weeks or six weeks before I could drive. Longer time on the right leg than on the left. If ya need ya brakes in a hurry ya doesn't has time to negotiate with ya uncooperative leg. Biggest problem is gettin in and out of ya car. Sleeping will be a big problem. There is no comfortable position. Ya will most likely have a catheter when ya wake up. Try to keep the mz from stepping on the tube when she tries to get ya stood up. It will cause you to use language you haven't heard since boot camp. Do ya physical therapy daily. TWice daily if ya can stand it.
...there are U-Tube vids on the surgery. They will cause you to start thinking that your leg really isn't all that bad.

...if one of your hips has the arthritis the other one isn't far behind. Ya gonna have to get it fixed too. JUst do it. Don't wait for it to get unbearable.
