In another game of defensive struggle Ole Miss managed to get by the Arkansa Razorbacks by a 52-51 score.

The defense was tenacious on both teams. Offenses scored at will .

My assessment of Iowa and Penn State thus far.

Either of these teams will get the stuffing kicked out of them by Ohio State.

Penn State comes to Ohio Stadium in Columbus on October 30th. Iowa has no offense. Yet they are clinging to life in a low scoring game. Penn State is not impressive at all either. Like NOtre Dame, thet are both greatly over ranked just because they are yet undefeated and haven't played any talented teams..

Michigan imo is a better team than either Iowa or Penn State.

As for the Longhorns choking today, the coach needs to be fired after the season. And the staff.

No defense and enough offense to win a game if they had just reasonable defense. Should have won that one.

The Georgia Bulldogs chewed up, gnawed on and spit out Auburn today at Auburn's home field. The outmanned, toothless Tigers was used as a gnaw bone for a bunch of junkyard dawgs...

We managed to give it away. My assessment: coaching errors.

1. Very poor time management right before end of the first half. Could have used the time outs to give ourselves a couple of more tries for the end zone, instead of settling for a field goal.

2. Young kid with blazing speed fielding the kick offs has a tendency to want to run with it, in spite of the fact that he is catching it in the middle of the end zone. After the first time he did this and only made it out to the 10 yard line, the coaches should have said, "Hey ... THINK ... it sure would be nice to spot our offense on the 25-yard line, instead of the 10-yard line ... huh?" Next time, he tries to run it out, AGAIN, and fumbles it on our 10-yard line. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

3. OU's defense made good adjustments in the second half to put a lot more pressure on our quarterback. Sound football strategy that started working. But, our offensive play calling did not adjust to run more quick passes, screens, or draws to catch their pass rush off guard and slow it down.

Oh well.
