I just spoke to a buddy of mine in Sacramento, figuring that we could get together for lunch or dinner one day this week. At work, the building he's in normally has about 100 employees. All except for the IT staff and the mailroom staff are now teleworking, so the building is practically empty.

The IT staff number about 14. My friend told me that earlier this year, someone introduced the virus and about 10 of the 14 tested positive.

I'm going to have to pick his brain for the details when I see him later in the week because 10 out of 14 is pretty extreme. If it happened recently, it suggests that they were unvaccinated or the vaccine doesn't work.

The most interesting part about it is that he says one of the 10 died. My friend said that the guy who died had a comorbidity and that he was "old but not too old." I'll ask more about that later as well. I'm very curious as to whether he was a healthy guy who caught Covid-19 and dropped dead or a generally sickly sort who perhaps didn't even die from the virus but died WITH the virus.

Unfortunately, I won't have any stats on how many of the staff were vaccinated at the time. As my friend puts it, "That's something you aren't supposed to ask." I dunno. I've never minded being asked, and I've never felt like it was a taboo topic. But you never know in California. Maybe the reason for not asking is to keep Libtards from persecuting those who justifiably steer clear of the vaccine.

In other news, he's been mining bitcoin for several years and now says he "is not quite a bitcoin millionaire." Nice!
