Met with myorthopedic joint replacement doctor this afternoon after the MRI of the right hip on Friday.
The hip will need to be replaced if I am to be able to use my lower right leg and foot again normally because there is ZERO hip rotation in it which is preventing the right leg to walk in its normal plane and gait thus ceating an awkward plane for both the lower leg as it travels and the foot when it lands during walking. Always at an obtuse angle which keeps both it and the lower leg highly inflamed. Make trying to walk very difficult.
So surgery will be scheduled for a total hip replacement after January 1 sometime..
It will be perfomred fairly close to home , a couple of miles, at the surgery center where the orthopedics group is at. Doc said it will be outpatient surgery and will have therapists come to the house.
It will be robotic arm assisted for precision. Without this operation the leg will not be able to move normally.
So, good news as far as I can see... but after the Holidays. Too many good things to eat between now and then..
