Electric Car Nonsense!
...electric companies will confirm that the time of peak usage is the time of day that people are coming home from work, heating or cooling their houses, cooking, cleaning watching tv and or playing on their computer. Add to this the same number of households coming home and plujgging in their electric cars for a recharge so they won't get stranded going to work the next day and ya got a devastating surge in electical usage.
...it's not just charging up for the next day though. There are folks out there who don't work but will have to plug in their electric cars everyday so they will be fully charged in case grandma falls down the cellar steps and breaks something and they have to meet at the hospital.
...gasoline cars have more range and thus less of a reason to keep them "full" at all times. Not only that but gas cars can be refilled on the way to a midnight emergency in only a few minutes. There are a lot of things about these electric cars that haven't been thought out fully by the folks who think they are the answer to all our problems.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
