A close work buddy, Lenny, a few years younger than me, so in his 70s, split from his gambler wife, moved in with a daughter and family, well, no masks, no vaccines, sure enough he, and they passed Covid around... He survived, but he's tough, also a survivor of a massive stroke, as in a fist size clot.. Lost most of his left side, vision is tough can't deal with TV or computers, but he calls every couple weeks, same old crazy humor, but he misses building stuff, welding, fixing' up his '45 Jeep.. He can still walk at least, nit too speedy, but gets around.. And the family gradually is getting the message, but they are up out of Lakeport, many ignore a lot of rules out there,,, Suviving is good, hopefully it continues..

Ignorance is killing so many... Pointless to argue... Wish 'em well and stay safe ourselves...

It's the season... A tough one..

Some do and some don't, but most still live in Northern Michigan, a part of the state where no one wears a mask and vaccines are seen as a plot to subjugate the people. But virtually the entire family has been sick or at least tested positive over the last year and half, Tommy had been lucky, having avoided to for as long as he did. And when he did get sick, he just assumed that he would beat it like the rest of his family had. Unfortunately, his luck simply ran out, and it could have all been avoided if he had just gotten vaccinated.

As for changing their position, I hope so, and perhaps for a lot of people in the town as his family is very well known having run one of the biggest businesses in town for over 40 years and has employed many of the locals.
