Members of a U.S. military jury who sentenced a terrorist last week at Guantánamo Bay wrote a letter condemning his torture and urging clemency.

The seven senior U.S. military officers had sentenced Majid Khan, who pleaded guilty in February 2012 to terrorism crimes, to 26 years in prison after hearing graphic descriptions of his torture by the C.I.A.
In the letter, they called Mr. Khan’s treatment “a stain on the moral fiber of America.”
