Back about the time when one of the Wonder Woman movies came out, I was in the break room heating up my lunch and was a captive audience for a female co-worker who went on and on gushing about how the movie was such a fabulous influence on her teenage daughter. Apparently, she glowingly perceived this fantasy character manufactured out of thin air by Hollyweird to be a GREAT role model for her daughter. I asked, "Oh, your daughter plans on being a super-hero when she grows up?" She rolled her eyes and responded, "You can mock all you want, but this movie character encourages my daughter to become whatever she desires and shows her how to be a kick-ass woman who doesn't have to take any crap from anyone - even a man." My response ... "Oh, so Wonder Woman proves to young women that they have the ability to physically beat the snot out of men whenever necessary, eh?" She said, "Yeah!" I started laughing ... and another guy who was in the break room started laughing, too. Of course, she got real indignant about our laughter and spouted off, "Women are dangerous and they can take down a guy!" I said, "Yeah, women are 'dangerous' ... just not in the way you are supposing ... and I don't think it's a very good idea for you to instill a silly notion in your daughter's mind that she stands much of a chance of physically beating up a man if she so chooses." "In a hand-to-hand altercation," I suggested, "99.99% of the time, the man is going to come out on top of that battle and encouraging your daughter to think otherwise because of a make-believe super-hero movie is just bad parenting." She stormed off. The other guy in the room and I just shook our heads.
The irrational, infantile mindset of so many people these days, who allow themselves to be unduly influenced and manipulated by Hollyweird and other leftist idiots, is simply astounding - and sad.
