CNN Poll: 72% of Americans Say Biden Isn’t Paying Attention To Important Issues

President Joe Biden’s poll numbers have been steadily dropping this year, but now even CNN polling shows that voters don’t see Biden as caring about the issues most important to them.

A new CNN poll found that 72% of Americans say Biden is not paying enough attention to the right issues.

From CNN:

All told, 48% of adults approve of the way Biden is handling the job while 52% disapprove. Intensity within those ratings breaks sharply against the President. The share saying they strongly approve of Biden’s performance has dropped to just 15%, down from 34% in April. Although CNN does not ask strength of approval in every poll, that number never dipped below 20% during the presidencies of either Barack Obama or Donald Trump.
To see even the liberal network reporting Biden’s difficulties is a bad sign for Biden. Other polling has shown Biden’s approval continue to decline as inflation rises, mandates increase, and issues like the Afghanistan withdrawal remain in Americans’ recent memory.

In fact, a recent Rasmussen poll found the majority of voters think a Biden endorsement would hurt a local candidate.

“The sagging popularity of President Joe Biden has political consequences, as more than half of voters say they would vote against Biden-endorsed candidates in their state,” Rasmussen said. “An endorsement by former President Donald Trump would be more valuable, particularly with independent voters. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 27% of Likely U.S. Voters say they would be more likely to vote for a candidate for election in their state who was endorsed by Biden. Fifty-one percent (51%) would be less likely to vote for a candidate endorsed by Biden. Twenty percent (20%) say a Biden endorsement would not make much difference in their vote.”
